A Biblical Rosary:

The Holy Rosary enriched with further Biblical teaching

As the mysteries of the Rosary are prayed, a Biblical phrase/teaching is introduced in each Hail Mary following the Holy name of Jesus. Thus one prays:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus [the phrase is here inserted]

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

The First Joyful Mystery: The Annunciation

1. Jesus the Savior promised by God in the Garden of Eden. (Cf. Genesis 3:15)

The Fifth Joyful Mystery: The Finding of Jesus in the Temple

The First Luminous Mystery: The Baptisme of Jesus in the Jordan

The Third Luminous Mystery: Jesus' Proclamation of the Kingdom of God

The Fifth Luminous Mystery: The Institution of the Eucharist

The Second Sorrowful Mystery: The Scourging at the Pillar

The Third Sorrowful Mystery: The Crowning with Thorns

The Fifth Sorrowful Mystery: The Crucifixion and Death of our Lord

The First Glorious Mystery: The Resurrection

The Second Glorious Mystery:  The Ascension

1. Jesus, who for forty days continued to appear to the apostles and spoke to them about the kingdom of God. (Acts, 1:3)

3. Jesus taken up from their sight into a cloud. (Acts 1:9)

The Third Glorious Mystery:  The Descent of the Holy Spirit

2. Jesus, who promised the apostles an Advocate, the Spirit of the truth. (John 15:26)

3. Jesus, who said: "When the Spirit of truth comes he will lead you to the complete truth." (John 16:13)

The Fourth Glorious Mystery: The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

6. Jesus, who entrusted you his beloved disciple. (John 19:26)

7. Jesus, who gave you to us as our mother. (John 19:27)

8. Jesus, who did not allow you to be defiled by sin. (Cf. Ephesians 1:3)

9. Jesus, through whom your body and soul was assumed into the glory of heaven. (Cf. Revelations 12:1)

10. Jesus, in whose glory the beauty of your body and soul shine in heaven. (Cf. Ephesians 1:4)

The Fifth Glorious Mystery: The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

1. Jesus, who crowned you in heaven. (Cf. Revelations 12:1)

2. Jesus, with whom you reign in heaven. (Cf. Ephesians 1:3)

3. Jesus, to whom you pray, interceding for us. (Cf. John 2:3)

4. Jesus, who entrusted us to your maternal care. (Cf. John 19:27)

5. Jesus, who gave us your example of unceasing prayer for the Church. (Cf. Luke 2:51)

6. Jesus, who endowed you with glory. (Cf. Ephesians 1:4)

7. Jesus, who will come at the end of times. (Cf. 1 Timothy 6:14)

8. Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead. (Cf. 2 Timothy 4:1)

9. Jesus, through whom all things will be renewed. (Cf. 1 Peter 5:10)
